How does it work?

Dermal filler is an injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in your skin. At Caci, we only allow qualified Registered Nurses to administer the filler, which involves a quick injection process into the targeted area.

Once injected, the substance instantly plumps up the skin, smoothing away deep lines, folds and wrinkles in the face and adding volume to lips.

Where can you get Dermal Filler?

  • Cheeks -  add volume to deflated and sunken cheeks, and to define cheekbones
  • Marionette Lines - To fill and reduce their appearance
  • Corner of the mouth- To smooth any wrinkles in the area, often referred to as smile lines
  • Jawline - to soften sharp or overly angular jawlines.
  • Lips - add volume and definition to thin or shrunken lips. Also to reduce the appearance of wrinkles around the lip area.
  • Nasolabial folds- To reduce the appearance of deep lines between the bottom of the nose and corners of the mouth

What happens at a treatment?

After your complimentary consultation with a Caci Treatment Coordinator, you will be booked in for an appointment to be treated. A Registered Cosmetic Nurse eases the dermal filler gel into your skin using a fine needle. The injection process is quick, and takes between 10-15 minutes.

What happens after a treatment?

We'll check in with you to see how you're feeling after your treatment, and to answer any questions you might have.

Does it hurt?

The injection process is quick and the needles are small and fine, so the treatment hardly hurts at all. You'll likely feel a pinprick, but most clients describe the treatment as being a bit uncomfortable rather than painful. At Caci we use Juvederm® Dermal Filler that contains Lidocaine; a local anaesthetic that provides more comfort both during and after injection.

How long do the effects last?

Results vary from person to person, but typically fillers last between 8-24 months and are noticeable immediately after the treatment.

Who performs the treatments?

Our cosmetic medicine treatments are only performed by qualified and highly trained Registered Nurses, so you can rest assured you're in safe hands.

How is Dermal Filler different from Botox®?

Dermal filler is an injectable gel that provides volume. Botox® is not a filler, Botox® relaxes muscle activity and is used to treat moderate to severe lines caused by repeated facial expressions.

Will I be eligiable for treatment?

Dermal Fillers are suitable for most  people to treat deep wrinkles and enhance volume. At Caci your safety is our priority and we do not use cosmetic injectables while customers are pregnant, breastfeeding or  while infection is present. Customers with neuro-muscular transmission disorders, glaucoma and other medical conditions or taking certain medications will also not be treated. We are also cautious around other treatments customers are having such as dental work or microblading or if you will be travelling in the very near future.
