What was your background before deciding to open a Caci?
I am a Registered Nurse with a strong background in Emergency and Intensive Care Nursing. My nursing roles over the years has given me strong clinical assessment skills, health management and health architecture. I continue to occasionally work in the Emergency Department and post-operative Cardiac Intensive Care nursing in Dunedin to maintain a high level of skills and knowledge.
What inspired you to take the first step and enquire about owning a Caci?
I have a strong passion for high standards in the delivery of care, evidence based treatments and ensuring clients are well informed throughout the process. Caci sat well with my morals, ethics, and always displayed professionalism and kindness. I saw the opportunity to own a clinic in Dunedin, so decided to reach out to learn more.
What happened at your first meeting with our Franchise Development Manager, Hilary?
I met Hilary over coffee when she came down to Dunedin to scope out some potential clinic sites. She was great! She was warm and knowledgeable about Caci, I found out that she was also a nurse and previously owned a clinic as well! During our meeting, I learnt more about KPI’s, finance, staffing, training and development, sales and marketing support.
What made you make the decision to go ahead and open a clinic?
Meeting with Hilary confirmed my research that Caci is a good business decision to invest in. The Caci brand is strong and there is an ongoing commitment to research and development to ensure they remain industry leaders. Their tried and tested formulas for business success assured me that there would be ongoing support throughout the journey of opening and running my clinic.
There is also a sense of a strong and supportive “sisterhood” in the Caci group, which is pretty unique in a business.
How has the opening process been so far?
The operations team have been nothing short of FAB! The combined level of knowledge and skill set is an asset to the organisation and they have been guiding me through the process with patience and warmth - and are extremely professional.
What do you love most about Caci as a company?
Caci is a well trusted brand, I especially like the way Caci values their clients and works not only on appearance, but what the client wants to achieve to feel more confident. Treatments are tailored specifically for the client, not a ‘one box for all treatment plan’. This fits well with my ethos, values and the way I expect my staff to practice.
What’s exciting you most about the opening of Caci Dunedin?
I cannot wait to start working with my new team and meeting new people here in Dunedin. I am especially looking forward to seeing the results of the treatments and making our clients feel more confident about themselves.
What would you say to someone thinking about opening a Caci?
If you’re passionate about quality, high standards, have a sense of empathy and understanding, and you enjoy the challenges of business, then go for it! Caci is a fabulous brand to represent and the people here are more of an extended family than just co-workers.
